Revision log
During peer review, we may ask you to revise parts of your article. You can document your changes in the revision log to make further review easier for reviewers. Please follow our revision-log template.
Example
Here is an example of how to use the revision log:
Reviewer's feedback |
Author team |
The specific characteristics of nursing education are not discussed sufficiently. |
The article now discusses in detail the particular features of the training and its specific challenges compared with other teacher-education programmes. |
Mayring's approach is not a reconstructive method. |
The overall study uses mixed methods; the article presents only an initial extract. Content analysis is intended as a first approach to the interviews. With reference to Wernet, this is now clearly explained as a research approach. |
The conclusion does not match the article.
A discussion has been added. The conclusion now relates to the results and their place within the overall research.
The reference list is inconsistent.
The reference list has been revised. |
Figures
As the second reviewer considered the figures plausible, we have left them unchanged.
Mayring's content analysis cannot reveal practices embedded in habitus.
We have clarified that the focus is not on practices embedded in habitus, but initially on its conscious, explicit aspects, with reference to Bourdieu in the text. The implicit, embodied aspects are investigated only in the second phase of the study presented here. With reference to Wernet/Oevermann, this approach is therefore understood as becoming familiar with the lifeworld, and the text now states this explicitly. |
Nursing education publications already exist on teachers' self-understanding, for example Anja Walter's article (2018). Please research this further.
The work of Anja Walter, Darmann-Fink and others has been incorporated. |
The writing style needs revision.
We have thoroughly revised and restructured the text. |
